The staff of the Carnival Institute recently visited the Lionel Jagessar Mas Camp in San Fernando.

Mr Jagessar has been designing and producing a Fancy Indian Carnival band for over 45 years. He has won scores of Mas band titles, including his King and Queen costumes. Mr Jagessar has also provided Fancy Indian headpieces for other bands over the decades such as; Poison, Harts and Tribe. This year his band is titled Festival of Nations with 8 sections. His wife Rosemary will be the Queen of the band, her costume is called Dream of a bustle dancer.
