The Carnival Institute hosted their 2nd Haitian Papier-mâché workshop. These presentations expose Art students of St Anthony’s College to the carnival mask-making technique. This art is long lost in Trinidad carnival, but most dominant in Haiti’s carnival in the town of Jacmel. The presentations also contextualised the masks from Haiti that were on display, in terms of the geography, history and cultural heritage of Jacmel, Haiti.
