NCC Welcomes Newly Appointed Board of Commissioners

Port of Spain, Trinidad, November 24, 2021 The National Carnival Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (NCC) proudly welcomes the recent reinstatement of the Board of Commissioners, following the official announcement from the Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Senator the Honourable Randall Mitchell, at a brief ceremony at the NCC’s VIP Lounge, Queen’s Park Savannah on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. 

The appointed commissioners are: 

  • Mr. Winston “Gypsy” Peters (Chairman)
  • Mr. Davlin Thomas(Deputy Chairman)
  • Ms. Jacqueline Springer-Dillon
  • Mr. Darian Marcelle
  • Ms. Annalean Inniss
  • Mrs. Rosalind Gabriel (TTCBA),
  • Mrs. Beverly Ramsey-Moore (Pan Trinbago)
  • Mr. Ainsley King (TUCO) 
  • Ms. Vishma Ramcharita

In commenting on the recent appointments, NCC Chief Executive Officer, Colin Lucas said, “We welcome the reinstated Board and look forward to continuing and building on the work started in recent years.”

“While we face a number of significant challenges as a result of pandemic-related disruptions, we are confident that we have the right combination of expertise, talent, and drive at the Board level to face those issues, and develop viable strategies for the futures of both the organisation and the Carnival industry as an inescapable strategic amalgam,” Lucas added.

The Board’s appointment took effect from Tuesday, and all Commissioners will serve for a period of two years.
