NCC John Cupid Carnival Village Schools Tour Experience

Port of Spain, Trinidad, January 23, 2023: Opening its doors on Saturday, January 21, the NCC John Cupid Carnival Village, at the Queen’s Park Savannah is off to a wonderful start.

Along with the Village’s traditional offerings of the best in local entertainment, cuisine and arts and crafts, are special tour days for the primary and secondary schoolchildren from within the area.

This year’s schools tour began on Monday, January 23 with students of St. Francois Girls’ College filling the Village with their unmistakable energy. It was a memorable morning as students were treated to guest presentations, lectures, and a special concert featuring Lujoe the Gifted.

Over the next 3 weeks, the Village will be hosts as hundreds children from all across the country take part in this one-of-a-kind Carnival experience, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience of everything Carnival.

Many of the Village’s exhibits have been made possible by the Carnival Institute of Trinidad and Tobago.

The NCC is pleased to work in partnership with the Ministry of Education in bringing this year’s schools tour to life.

The John Cupid Carnival Village runs daily with morning segments for school children and cruise ship tourists and in the evenings with specially-themed concerts for patrons.

Admission is Free. Please check the NCC website and social media for more performance details.
