Notice To The Public - COVID-19 Protocols Update

Port of Spain, Trinidad, Tuesday, May 26 2020: With the announcements by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on the phased re-openings of essential services across the country, the National Carnival Commission of Trinidad and Tobago (NCC), while eager to resume normal operations soon, wishes to advise the public that, in keeping with the national mandate, all of its offices are obliged to remain closed until further notice.

 

In this regard, social distancing protocols continue to remain in effect across the organisation, meaning that our teams continue to work remotely to fulfil many of the commitments we have to the wider community, including the distribution of prize monies and other payments for events hosted during the Carnival 2020 season.

 

Even as we continue to abide by the prevailing restrictions, we are aware that many members within the Carnival community have been enquiring about a prize payment schedule. In working toward meeting those obligations, so far, we have been able to fulfil a substantial number of our financial responsibilities to the community. We are mindful, however, that there are still many in need of resolution. 

 

We know that it has not been an ideal situation for these stakeholders. We take this opportunity, in reaching out them, to advise that our teams will continue to do all that is permissible to expedite this process. We will do so while carefully adhering to all pandemic protocols, and fully expect to complete all payments schedules once official resumption protocols allow.
