NCC Musical tribute to Kenny J

Christmas won’t be Christmas without the sweet Soca Parang songs of Kenny J.

Come December 10 and 11, his music will resonate in the halls of the National Academy of the Performing Arts in North and South.

Under the banner of “Soca Parang Fiesta”, Kenny J will live on in a musical tribute showcasing his many hits performed by a cast of some of the greatest and most popular Soca Parang entertainers.

The incredible line-up features Rome, Marcia Miranda, Cro Cro, Alicia Jagessar, Myron B, Marilyn Williams, Eddie Charles, Ninja, Bindley B, and Poser backed by The A-Team. Each brimming full with their popular hits guaranteed to fill you with seasonal sparkle and cheer.

Other performances include appearances by the talented duo, Xavier Strings, known for their fusion of Caribbean and folk music using the violin and other instruments as well as multi-time Parang champions Los Aluminos De San Juan.

The two-day event is carded for December 10 at The Southern Academy Of the Performing Arts (SAPA), San Fernando and December 11 at National Academy of the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain.

The musical tribute to Kenwrick Joseph aka Kenny J, who is  best known for his double entendre Christmas ditties such as “Paint Brush”, “Alexander” and “Hush Your Mouth” among others. 

Kenny J died on January 02, 2022. He was 69 years,

No other show presents such a magnificent combination of the very best in Soca Parang and Parang Soca. Admission is $350. (Spec. Res.) and $300.(Gen.) with a limited early bird special of $75 off General Admission tickets until November 19.
